The Russian…
There is one gun that is impeding my AR-15 build. I mentioned a few posts ago that my preferred “wasteland” gun(s) would be an RPK-74 and AK-74. A friend of mine is willing to sell me his 74M (not the one pictured but you get the idea) if I can get the money before February 14th. He wants to buy his girlfriend an engagement ring for Valentine’s Day.
This will be an interesting deadline to work with but seems worthwhile.

Something that scares me about the states is that you can get a shot gun, a 60 of rum, and bleach all in one store.

You’ll need these…

Calico M-100
The carbine version of the M-110, it still has the .22 LR caliber. Calico’s fell victim to the Assault Weapons Ban and had to conform to the new laws. This one sports the wood furniture in a less aggressive look. Note the rather rare factory scope mount. Unlike the 9mm versions which eject spent cases downward, the .22 LR models eject from the side like regular rifles and handguns.

So its the same gun with the same capability’s as the other one but now they have slapped a few curves and some wooden furniture and now its just fine. Honestly I don’t know why Governments are so retarded. “Oh no it looks scary so lets ban the shit out of it” I mean come on thats just stupid.

Hand Cannons…
Well the Desert Eagle .357 is kind of small in comparison to the much larger cartridges out there now. As requested, a picture of my Taurus Raging Bull 500 with the 10” ported barrel, alongside my Desert Eagle XIX .357. I was going to add a caliber comparison but I’m out of 500 S&W ammo. It costs me about $75 for a box of 20, and since I’m job hunting I can’t go buying ammo to feed it again yet.

Shit…
Armor is nice, especially on smaller vehicles but it can make them top heavy. Not good if traveling on crappy roads. I even seen photos of the M1 Abrams tank upside down too…

Intratec TEC-9
While it sounds cool and doesn’t look like much, this simple little pistol has an infamous history. Originally a Swedish design, the gun appeared on the U.S market for a fairly cheap price. It would later be used in the Hollywood 101 Shooting and more infamously the Columbine High School Massacre. Intratec, the U.S maker and distributor went out of business years ago, a mix of poor sales and bad stigma attached to the shootings after the assault weapons ban.

Custom XD-9
Note the grip-tape around the pistol grip. Usually handgun owners/shooters tend to be picky about texture on the grips. Normally with revolvers or older designs like the 1911, you can swap in grips of your choice, but polymer handguns like the Glock and XD can’t. Not sure which fiber-optic front sight that is paired with the adjustable rear sight. The XD-9 seems to be getting pretty favorable user reviews over the Glock but it’s hard to tell if it’s more brand bias.
