Anyone know what force this guy is with?

The Russian…
There is one gun that is impeding my AR-15 build. I mentioned a few posts ago that my preferred “wasteland” gun(s) would be an RPK-74 and AK-74. A friend of mine is willing to sell me his 74M (not the one pictured but you get the idea) if I can get the money before February 14th. He wants to buy his girlfriend an engagement ring for Valentine’s Day.
This will be an interesting deadline to work with but seems worthwhile.

Lazy sniper, stop being lazy
Either he’s really comfortable sitting down in the open when firing or he’s injured and unable to move out of the way. This photo is from Iraq several years ago. Note the Romanian PSL but the guy in the background has what might be an SVD Dragunov or an Iraqi Al-Kadesiah.

Stefanie
A German soldier with a patch bearing the name of either his girlfriend/fiancee/wife or daughter. Note the HK G3 setup for DMR work. The claw mount usually sets optics too high which makes for a proper cheek weld difficult unless you use a stock with an adjustable comb. Note the improvised rail under the handguard for a Harris bipod. If you look closely at the muzzle it appears that a standard G3 muzzle cap has been put on.

AMD-65
A female Afgan police officer armed with the Hungarian AMD-65. The 65 has a side-folding wire stock to make much more compact and easy to carry in vehicles. The U.S civilian models have a slightly longer muzzle brake to meet the 16” barrel length requirement without it being an SBR.

H&K SP89
The handgun version of the MP5. Considered quite rare when compared to other HK handguns, it can easily rival the price of a full-size HK 94, which was the civilian version of the MP5. Note the dual 30 round magazines held together by the HK proprietary mag clamp. What makes it so desirable is that it can be SBR’ed and used for MP5K clone builds. Price range for one is usually in the $4,500 to $5,000 area.

Muzzle flash…
The rather common “fireball” from a Mosin Nagant carbine, in this case an M38 but you’ll see the same result from an M44 or M91/59. Definitely more impressive at night, there is some complaint that this is also illustrate the wasted energy from the shorter barreled Mosins. Regardless, I wouldn’t want to be on the other end to experience what wasted ballistic energy there is.

ATI StG-44
The .22 LR copy of the famous German rifle that changed the modern battlefield. They are all shipped in a wooden crate, minus the swastikas of course. A follower asked why do most .22 LR rifles and handguns have magazines with side cutouts. From what I read it is meant to help with easy reloading and quick round count assessment. The .22 LR semi-autos were never meant to be military grade firearms to be used on the field. A magazine with a side cutout would be susceptible to debris and dirt which could cause jamming.
